A cylinder is made from a piece of aluminium fitted to a piece of wood. A strip of paper is
glued around the middle. The paper is then heated over a Bunsen burner flame as shown on
the diagram. After a while one end of the paper is noticeably more scorched than the other why this happens?
This happened because the thermal conductivity of these materials are different. Thus, different amount of heat from the burner flame was transferred to the paper.
