I have Nd: YAG laser. what pumping mechanism i prefer for this and why?

I am not sure about what you personally will prefer for this and why, but Nd:YAG lasers usually require optical pumping with flash tubes or laser diodes. The light energy they generate is enough to excite atoms in the crystal of the laser. Gas lasers require higher energy for the excitation, therefore, these pumping mechanisms will not be enough for gas lasers.
