A point object is placed at a distance of 0.3m from a convex lens ( f=0.2m) cut into 2 halves each of which is displaced by 0.0005m . Lower half is rotating about its centre with angular velocity Pi-radian per second and the medium between 2 halves is vertically half filled by water of refractive index 4/3 and rest half by ether of refractive index 21/2 .
Find the position, magnification and angular velocity of image.

Provide a basic labeled sketch illustrating the substrate and associated layers of an LED (assume a GaAsP n-layer). Idicate where the flux escapes the component.
A particular LED has a reference intensity of 12 mcd at a reference current of 10 mA. The component has a peak current of 100 mA with an efficiency of 1.5. A pulsed operation implements a duty cycle of 20 percent. Determine the average intensity of the LED.
What is the role(s) of a plastic dome over an LED substrate system?
A silicon junction generates an electron differential of 1.09 eV. What
radiated wavelength will propagate with this condition?
A red LED is operated in pulse mode with 80 mA of peak current applied at a duty cycle of 20%. is 1.9 volts.
a.) Determine the average LED current.
b.) Assuming a dynamic resistance of 50 ohms calculate the average power dissipation of the LED component.
I would like to know what optical phenomena could create such a "rainbow" effect in a factory automotive finish. There were high cirrus clouds, No rain, And the sun looked to be fairly low on the horizon. The car in question is very highly maintained. So scratches or haze in the finish are nonexistent. The finish is highly polished and very smooth. Also when the owner turned to look at the sky the arc wasn't visible. This event took place in England so it was at a high latitude. Just curious really. link to photo. http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=42958
An auto forum member posted a picture of his car after being washed and dried. His hood was raised and you could see a rainbow reflection in the paint work a kin to a Brevais' arc. Yet when he turned to look at the sky. there was no arc present. There was only an arc visible when looking at the hoods paint. The paint was extremely smooth and shiny.
how the intensity of light incresed when it passed through optical resonator?
