What kind of polarised light will u get if two plane polarised light of amplitude but having a phase difference of 90⁰ are superposed.justify your answer.explain why unpolarised light reflected by a pile of plates is lineraly polarized?

The light will be circularly polarized because each part of one plane wave wave will not only propagate in the direction of light, but also interact with another plane wave shifted for 90°.

Regarding the plates, all components perpendicular to the horizontal reflecting plane will go into the glass while all components parallel to the plates will reflect. As the output we have only linearly polarized light.
