Question #108723

Explain why images formed by magnifying glasses are free from chromatic abberation.

Expert's answer

We know that the chromatic abbreviation is depending on the focal length of the lenses. If the focal length of the lens is getting increase chromatic aberration will get reduce. It can be further minimized by using an achromatic lens or achromat, in which materials with differing dispersion are assembled together to form a compound lens.
