In a certain gas system, the pressure remains constant at 150 kpa even though 1000J of heat is added. The volume change is 1.8L. how much does the internal energy in joules of the system change.
Steam expands steadily at a constant temperature. The flow rate is 13.6 kg/min with an inlet state of wet steam (water) at 80% quality to a final state of 700C and 2.5 MPa. The change of kinetic energy across the device is 3.5 kJ/kg, and the heat added is 21.81 kW. Determine (a) the enthalpy of conditions 1 &2, (b) the heat transfer in kJ/kg, (c) the work, and (d) the system power.
Two liquids with different densities (1500 kg/m3 and 500 kg/m3) were combined and poured into a 100-liter container to fill it. if the mixture's final density is 800kg/m3. Determine the weight of the mixture and the amounts of liquids used. 9.375 m/s2 for local gravity.
Hello. I am a student at a university and am designing a geothermal power plant model. I just want to know, how do I calculate mass flow rate at the well? I got things like the well diameter, the pressure change, the density of the fluid (about 1000 kg/m3). Are there other components used? I've looked online for the formula of it, but every case study has a given mass flow rate, without an explanation as to how it was calculated. Would love some help with this as it's confused me for a while. Thanks!
