When an object drop the work done on the object by earth is positive but what about the work done on earth by the object? Is this zero,negative or positive?

Answer: If the object is at some distance from the Earth, then between the object and the Earth there is a force of universal gravitation. According to Newton's third law, bodies interact with forces equal in modulus, opposite directions. Since the body does not move the Earth under the action of force, its work to the Earth is zero.
