a. Jeric is standing outside the Physics laboratory 7 m from the wall. Michael John, by a window 5 m above the ground, tosses a ball horizontally. Find the speed that Michael John should give the ball for it to reach Jeric.

As $t=\sqrt{2H/g}$ and $S=Vt$ hence $V=S/\sqrt{2H/g}$ where $H=5m, S=7m$ then

$V\approx6.9 m/s$
