You are standing perfectly still and then take a step forward. Before the step, your momentum was zero, but afterward, you have some momentum. Is the principle of conservation of momentum violated in this case? Explain your answer.

No, the principle never violates. Though I have some final momentum the earth also has the same momentum but in opposite direction. Since the mass of Earth is very high which results in very small velocity hence we can observe its motion.
