If the loop is near the wire long enough, and all transients are completed, then the current in the loop will be absent.

If the loop has just been placed near the wire or the current in the wire has just appeared, then according to Faraday's law, in accordance with the Lenz rule, the direction of the current in the side of the loop closest to the wire will be opposite to the direction of the current in the wire.
