Answer to Question #97620 in Electric Circuits for Lala

Question #97620
I have a circuit with various resistors both in series and parallel. However, if a power of over 2.00W is dissipated in one of these resistors, that resistor will fail.

How can I work out the maximum voltage of the battery that can be used without any of the resistors failing.

All I am given is the resistances of the resistors in the circuit and power rating 2.00 W.

We can use the resistors in such a way that

"m" resistors can be arranged in series and "n" rows of such "m" resisters connected in series can be used so that total no. of resistors will be"\\ mn" .

No. of rows can be adjusted in such a way so that current in any row do not exceed the maximum safe current.
