Explanation

  • Just to make a complete circuit one needs,

1)A power supply 2) Insulated wires 3) Load

  • Power supply,

This can be ac or dc, Like mains of 230v & a battery of 1.5v. Something like an LDR to

generate power indirectly. These are called active components in circuitry. And it could

be something like a charged capacitor which is called passive devices.

  • Insulated wires

This facilitate the current flow through the circuit connecting the input & the output of

a circuit. They should be insulated (except those used in high tension

transmission lines) to avoid short circuit damages. In printed circuit boards, strips of

copper is cladded on except physical wires.

  • The load

This is to receive/consume the power input to the circuit & to output the work intended

by the circuit. This could be a simple bulb, a capacitor, a buzzer, a transformer, a Zener

diode, etc.

  • This is the outline of a complete circuit & there may be several circuits functioning within a single larger circuit in complex cases.
