Can you explain the concept of greek philosophy?
The Greek philosophy began in the 6th century BC marking the end of the Greek dark ages. In ancient Greece, the philosophers postulated many different ideas like human nature, ethics and moral dilemma. Philosophers in Greece are categorised into pre-socratics, Socratics and post-socratics.
Pre-socratics philosophers often studied natural phenomena. For example, they studied the origin of man. They argued that human beings originated from simple substances like water and air.
Socratics philosophers are Socrates, Plato and Aristotle. They investigated logic in physics, chemistry and biology. Socrates asked his students difficult questions to challenge their assumptions.
Post-Socratics philosophers investigated four schools of philosophy. The philosopher based their studies on individual issues rather than communal issues.
