Understanding of different worldviews in the communication of the issue of HIV and aids
Communication in the context of HIV may inspire people to be tested and get their findings, promote access to treatment, connect people living with HIV to medical and psychological care, support continuous retention in care, and assist decrease stigma that may hinder people from doing these steps.
Although health communication has played an important role in HIV prevention efforts, its potential to improve outcomes across the continuum of care has not been fully realized, owing in part to a lack of a framework that translates health communication theories and practices into specific interventions to address each step in the treatment cascade.
