A fraction is a part of a whole. It is a ratio between two integers separated by solidus (/). The upper part of a fraction is called a numerator and the lower part is the denominator. The first approach of learning fraction is identification of fraction. Later a diagram is drawn and subdivided to form fraction. The fractions are then represented in a number line. In addition learner recognize common equivalent fractions and decimals. There are different ways to work out fractions. One can perform addition and subtraction of fractions. We can also do multiplication and subtraction of fractions. We can also do multiplication and division of the same fraction. Lastly, we can work out percentages from the same fraction.
