A function is an expression, law, or rule that shows the relationship between two variables. The simplest function that one can imagine is y=x. One of the activities in our daily life that can be viewed as a function is the price and quality of goods and services. Functions cannot be seen but can be visualized by the use of graphs. The strategy used to plot a graph of a function is by creating a table by using the function to determine the values of the dependent variable using arbitrary points of the independent variables. If the function is linear a minimum of two points is required to represent the function graphically.
