Publix is an organization dealing with food products. The recent COVID-19 pandemic has led to major changes in the organization to safeguard the safety of the customers. Firstly, they adjusted the store hours due to the winter storms experienced, which was a quantum changes. Launched new functional wellness products, which is a convenient way of adding nutrients to your diet. This was an incremental change since it was done in phases with the new line including acai powder added to smoothies and oatmeal, then maca powder added to baked goods like brownies. These were the internal sources of change made to the products to add more nutrients to customers.

Two external sources of change made included availing the COVID-19 vaccine to the citizens to ensure their safety is guaranteed and they do not contract the virus while shopping. Other changes that need to be made in the organization include employee training and product differentiation to attract more customers. Employee training will provide a good customer service management to the employees increasing the reputation of the organization.
