Briefly explain a layout for a Banking branch operations (mention the type of layout applicable
Cellular layout
Cellular service is a configuration in which machines are clustered together based on the process needs for a collection of related items (component families) that require similar processing (like tellar, customer care, ATM processing etc). Cells are the name for these groups. As a result, a cellular layout is a bank's equipment configuration that supports cellular services. The technique known as group technology is used to group processes into cells (GT). Parts with similar design features (size, shape, and function) and similar process characteristics are identified using group technology (type of processing required, available machinery that performs this type of process, and processing sequence). Workers in cellular layouts are cross-trained to run all of the equipment in the cell and to be responsible for its output.
