discuss the notion "management is not a science"
Management is not a scientific discipline. Management is viewed as a science, although it is not an exact science. Management cannot be an exact science because it deals with humans and their unpredictable behavior. And it's an art when it comes to any form of leadership. And, like with art, simply using more technology will not improve the quality. For organizations to solve complicated issues, artistic use of management know-how is required. Managing is defined as doing things artistically while taking into account the realities of a situation. Human skills cannot exist in isolation; they must be combined with conceptual and technical abilities. As a result, theoretical management knowledge is insufficient and irrelevant for problem solutions. A manager develops experience by using management knowledge and confronting new situations on a regular basis. A manager develops abilities for transferring information into practice by solving numerous issues.
