I agree but not completely.


You manage, work, time and resources. You lead people. Your workforce is a resource to manage but they are also people that need a leader. You must do both to be effective. Actually, a manager needs to see beyond simply focusing on outcomes and focusing staff towards them. If someone in their team is struggling, it is his/her duty to help the team member so as to understand requirements and how to contribute efficiently. So, the manager is a trainer too.


Manager’s relationship with members has to be excellent so as to get the best out of them. One's success depends on team-manageability towards accomplishment of the given task.
