1. Message function is the procedure, protocol or process through which the message connects the sender to the receiver. Message is that information being passed on during the communication process.
2. Change function- this involves initiating a procedure to replace that which was there before. It is used by managers to improve performance.
3. Organizing function- this is bringing together different factors or units of production so that they can be productive. These units may include, human resources and finances.
4. Relationship function- this is a function of ties between either employees in the organization or customers and suppliers on the outside.
