However, it is an independent science and cannot be likened to other physical sciences such as physics and chemistry. It is an independent science mainly because it deals with human beings and is very difficult to predict their behavior accurately. It is a flexible and softer science, or at times behavioral science, as its theories and principles may produce different results at different times.
