Your supervisor has asked you to help the organisation’s Senior Managers understand the function of public relations in an organisation of this nature. Answer the question that follows:
Select and use one (1) of the ‘communication design approaches to persuasion’ to formulate a persuasive statement for women who survived domestic and sexual violence on the message of ‘Survivor’.
Participatory Communication for Development venture is in essence creating strong relations with the community and thus, expedites shared actions and initiatives for social change. It authorises local communities to deliberate and mitigate their challenges and practices, and to involve other stakeholders in generating an enhanced policy setting. For communication to be effective it need to incorporate different viewpoints and knowledge from all players and representatives to safeguard the appropriation by local communities for sustainability of the social change processes and, simultaneously, impact policy and policy-making procedures at all levels.
