How leaders can use OD to assist with strategies to include and promote a culture of innovation
Promoting an innovative culture will be highly beneficial to your organization. It may appear that good ideas do grow on trees at your company with a bit of workplace tinkering and a willingness to continually foster an environment of creativity.
Employees who frequently feel as if their ideas are not heard are less likely to submit them. Innovation is stifled in this sort of setting. Employees who feel empowered to make decisions and take action, on the other hand, have been shown to care more about the work they do. Encourage the exchange of ideas and the implementation of such ideas. Reward contributions and don't be too harsh on errors.
