With reference to the above quote, discuss the stages of the blackberry product life cycle
Introduction phase – Even before the Blackberry was released, several revisions were made before a final, market-ready product could be produced. Many adjustments will need to be made until the product is ready to be issued, as with any other product in the introduction period. The Blackberry was the most popular phone for professionals when it reached the growth phase. And, like with other products in this phase, demand is great, and enterprises who produce products in this phase are unable to meet the demand. Maturity Phase – The maturity phase saw the Blackberry facing many competitors one of which was the iPhone. In this phase a company needs to have other high innovative products to compete with the competitors. Decline Phase- This is the end of the product and companies begin to withdraw resources away from them and focus on other products.
