Trojan: Trojans are designed to steal your financial information, take over your computer's system resources, and, in larger systems, create a "denial-of-service attack." Denial-of-service attack: an attempt to make a machine or network resource unavailable to those attempting to access it.
Virus: As a contagious program or code, a virus attaches itself to another program or code, then replicates itself when that software is run. The most common way for this to happen is by sharing software or files.
Spyware: Spyware is a piece of software that monitors your online activities and sends advertising (Adware) back to your computer.
