Differentiate Induction. List and explain in detail the various steps involved in the induction process in your organization.
Induction is the process by which the human resource department ensures that a new employee settles into the new organization easily.
Induction Process Phases
Pre-Induction
This is the period of time when the employee has been hired but is yet to start work. Activities in this stage include making a workstation for the new employee, notifying other employees about the new employee and sending the new employee a contract.
Actual Induction
At this stage the employee is oriented with the procedures and processes of the new job as well as being introduced to the colleagues.
Post Induction
This is the stage after the employee has settled into the job and his or her work starts being assessed (Greiman et al, 2015).
