It assist in analyzing the competitive environment into general factors such as social, demographic and technological of multiple organizations located in one geographical location. According to the case of Subway for example the environments has various rivals including Mc Donald's and Kentucky for chicken sales. Every action of the organization results to some changes in the environment around it.
