Distinguish between knowledge and common sense

Knowledge refers to the state of being familiar with something that is gained through learning, understanding and experience for example being a teacher, a driver, a plumber or a computer technician whereas common sense refers to the helpful decisions concerning daily activities and the ability to differentiate, comprehend and make judgment in a manner that is shared by almost everyone. Examples of common sense include; not handling a cooking pot with bare hands, avoiding to step on sharp objects with bare feet, running to shelter when it is raining heavily and looking for something to eat when feeling hungry.

Distinguish between learning by example and learning by discovery

Learning by example refers to the act or ability to acquire knowledge with reference to someone or something such as observational learning, active learning, categorical learning and stylistic learning. Learning by discovery refers to a technique of problem based learning or experimental learning such student running models to discover how something works, information research, manipulating objects, asking detailed questions, and debates or discussions for better understanding.

Distinguish between knowledge portals and information portals

Knowledge portal refers to an internet based computer structures that comprises points of access to the knowledge. For example using the internet for business networking, link collections, case studies and publications. Information portal refer to a specifically designed website that brings information from different sources such as online forums, social media platforms, search engines and even email.
