An ethical dilemma arises when a decision must be made between two possibilities, none of which is absolutely acceptable from a principled standpoint. Ethical problems are highly difficult and cannot be simply resolved. Therefore, everyone's ability to discover the best answer in such instances is crucial. There are three primary ideas that can be employed to solve a challenge in ethical decision-making. The management use intuition that works on the idea that the HR is skilled enough to see the gravity of the situation and respond appropriately, ensuring that the final decision does not injure anyone directly or indirectly. Moral idealism asserts that there is a clear contrast between good and bad, acceptable and unacceptable behavior, and that this distinction holds true in all circumstances. Consequently, it requests that the rule of law be followed without exception. Utilitarianism is concerned with the outcomes or consequences. There is no clear line between good and bad; the emphasis is on the circumstances and the result. What is acceptable in one setting may be unacceptably terrible in another. It emphasizes that if the decision's net consequence is an improvement in the organization's satisfaction, the decision is the right one.
