In your experience what are the barriers which prevent oneself from being an effective communicator? What were the challenges you faced? Suggest some ways to handle such challenges.

The barriers that hinder one from becoming an effective communicator include:

• Physical barriers such as social distance, remote-work, and deskless nature of work.  
• Emotional barriers that tend to create unfavorable delivery of the intended message; such as lack of confidence that translates to mistrust and fear. This can be dealt with through intensive rehearsing and continuous practice before the actual time to deliver the message. 
• Language barriers  - this could hinder both verbal and non-verbal communication. When language of the commutator and recipients does not match, it creates difficulties to deliver message appropriately. On this note, one can use a translator to integrate appropriate non-verbal cues to pass the message.
