a) Identifying desirable values

Yes , the teacher is able to identify desirable values through:

1) Writing down every desirable values that he/she think can resonate or describe the feelings or behavior of the students.

2) The teacher should consider role models that the students love and admire. The role models have to be those that show desirable values because desirable values can only be personified in people who someone admires and love.

3) The teacher should give the students an opportunity to share our their experiences that taught them about a particular desirable value.

4) The teacher should categorize and try to relate a desirable value from the role models and that of the students to determine if they relate in any way.

b) Nurturing desirable values

Yes, the teacher is able to nurture desirable values in students by;

1) Praising or offering an award to the students who show or demonstrate a positive behavior. Therefore, the students will be encouraged to practice the desirable values.

2) Offering support and encouragement that will boost the students self-esteem.e.g If the students are passionate about a particular topic that promotes a desirable value he/she should offer additional materials that explains more about that desirable value.

3) Avoiding to hurt the feelings of the students by calling on selected students to answer questions in class but instead treating them equally to ensure the learners have an equal opportunity to answer questions.

4) Setting an example for the students by showing the desirable values such as politeness therefore, modeling the behavior he/she wants the students to mimic.

c) Modelling desirable values

1) Teaching the student to practice the desirable behavior by teaching the repeatedly by having a group or a student to perform it live before the class.

2) The teacher can observe and verify if the students are following the steps, procedures and routines of nurturing the desirable values.

3) The teacher act as being part of the students by actually trying to do what is expected of the students to nurture a desirable value. The teacher leads by example.

4) The teacher needs to understand and have a clear picture of what he/she wants the students to learn. A clear picture translates to a successful modeling.
