How do system theory and contingency approach make managers better at what they do?
The systems theory compares organizations to systems, which have interconnected and mutually dependent sections. This theory enables managers to better their activities. Each organizational level has a manager, who assigns and coordinates work. The managers and teams working on tasks should cooperate to ensure organizational success. Similarly, the contingency approach to managers states that there is no best managerial framework. Managers must incorporate their planning, organizing, leading, and controlling functions to run an organization.
