I agree that the most important factor influencing the development of policing has been the effective use of technology. Policing is an information-sensitive business. the advent of cars, radios, telephones and computerized dispatch systems has been one of the most major progress for policing. the widespread use of 911 systems is another pervasive example of technology driving police departments. In recent times, policing heavily relies on intelligence to carry out its activities e.g. data mining, crime mapping and widespread use of CCTV monitoring. The advancement of DNA analysis has brought about a technological solution to criminal identification and has emphasized forensic evidence over human testimony.
