Issues reflected in the proclamation of Philippine independence
Philippines’ independence is marked as a momentous and historical day. Upon the return of General Aguinaldo from exile, he felt fit for the country to initiate a revolution against allies like Spain. Other issues were reflected in the proclamation of Philippine independence, including the country’s aim of rallying troops and announcing its rebirth into a new country. Aguinaldo was behind these actions as he thought government operation was best for acquiring independence (Yeo, 2020). He ensured their new flag was raised and the national anthem sang.
