Answer to Question #260812 in History for Nono

Question #260812

There are two opposing views regarding the issue of land after restitution. The first

is that the land question should be handled by the state/ government leasing it to

those who want to practise farming. The second argument is that after restitution the

land issue should be handled by traditional leaders such as kings and chiefs.

Carefully consider these views and discuss them illustrating convincingly the view

that you uphold

The issue of land restitution should be handled through the collaboration of the state and the traditional leaders as both play a critical role in the restitution process. The government has control of all land issues while the traditional leaders have a clear understanding about the community surrounding them through experience and therefore they should not be ignored in the restitution process.
