Colonial chastisement had the following impacts on national development;

1. Colonialism Improved Health and Care System. Before the colonizers came to Africa, the Africans experienced lots of infant and childhood deaths, yet they were not aware of the causes of the fatalities but after colonization their health and care system was improved.

2. Colonization led to Enhancement of Civilization. The coming of the colonizers changed the way of living for most Africans, and they could think beyond the box something that led to development of African nations.

3. Development of Infrastructure. Colonization led to development of infrastructure such as roads, rails and electricity and which was of great importance to African nations in that they could use the infrastructure to transport their industrial and agricultural products hence leading to development of such nations.

4. Literacy through Education. With colonization, education was enhanced in African nations, hence slowly turning away from illiteracy levels and this led to innovation of new ideas hence increasing the national developments of African nations.
