Jefferson's most famous manifesto was human equality and drafting rules which could end slavery in America and promote a better political culture that required separation of powers between government and church, while Bonaparte encompassed dictatorship to rule by suppressing royalist insurrection that has been part of the French civil war.

Although Thomas Jefferson and Napoleon Bonaparte were actively involved in the revolution, Bonaparte ascent to power was due to military coup and being a military strategist; he waged war against various coalitions of European nations. On the contrary, Jefferson advocated for democracy and gained power by emphasizing liberty rather than oppression and remains an inspirational symbol.
