The man who played the most significant role in disrupting Rome’s Republic was Augustus Caesar. After he made himself the first emperor of Rome in 27 B.C.E, he took advantage of that. In his attempt to free Rome from Political violence and end status quo, he gained supreme control, and this ended the democratic nature of Rome such as the Senate rule which was utterly weakened. The Roman state could no longer hold since the state experienced a massive governmental collapse that led to the collapse of the republic.
