Children being dropped are prone to kidnapping by strangers since they are young and naïve. Such a problem could be solved by encouraging parents or guardians escorting the children to make sure the children are settled in their classrooms and picked from the schoolrooms.
Accidents involving children being dropped or picked in school can occur at the ECD centre. Anyone entrusted to drop or fetch children to school must be responsible drivers to avoid unnecessary accidents. The best way to resolve such a problem is to inform parents and guardians to ensure that their entrusted personnel provide drivers licenses and behavioral records to prove their level of responsibility.
Some children could talk to strangers and in the process, become victims of kidnap. Resolving such a situation is teaching children to run from strangers. Moreover, the ECD centre should not allow any individual to pick a student without written consent and phone call informing the institution about the individual picking the child.
