DAP can be defined as those practices: 1) that are not suitable or fitting for the development of the learners 2) that conform with the belief that learning takes place as a result of an individual interacting within their environment 3) that take note of what is known about child development and also what is known or learnt about each child and her/his development 4) that support a more knowledgeable other scaffolding for learners to achieve specific learning outcomes
