refer to stanza 1 and 2 of the mildlife testimony poem.based on the first stanza of the poem how do you think the speaker feels about the the person he is addressing?
The poem The Midlife Testimony by Chris Mann gives a tale of a love and passion fading away after a youthful marriage. The persona in the poem proclaims his love for the lady during his youthful years, when their relationship was its prime. Sadly, the feelings have faded within the years and he feels it is at the right stage to let her know that the days of the intimate love in their youth are over and the relationship is on a rocky patchy. However, the persona uses Jasmine to refer to a current feeling of warmth and love similar to what he shared with the lady.
