The poem 'Testimony ' by Chris Mann. Based on stanza 1 of the poem, how you think the speaker feels about the person he is addressing?
The speaker do not feel any love for the person anymore. The speaker describes nostalgic feeling of what they used to do with the person they are addressing by quoting, "I used to, when we were young, and words like love were tumbling in our thoughts." These are nostalgic thoughts that the speaker still has of the person being addresses. However, the main point is that the speaker do not have any feeling of love left for the person being addressed by stating, " I do not love you anymore."
