1. Removal punishment
"Punishment by removal" is another term for this sort of punishment. After an action has occurred, removal punishment entails taking away a favorable stimulus. For example, if a learner speaks out of turn again, the teacher informs the student that they would be missing recess as a result of their behavior.
2.positive reinforcement
"Punishment by application" is another term for this sort of punishment (Cherry, 2021). After a behavior has happened, positive reinforcement entails presenting an adverse stimulus. When a student speaks out of turn in class, for example, the teacher may reprimand the student for interrupting.
3. Negative reinforcement
The activity of removing the unwanted outcome or stimulus that acts as the incentive for performing the behavior is known as negative reinforcement. Example: Negative reinforcement is when educator decide to take away the multiplication tables before a math test.
4. Law of exercise
The second part of this law indicates that knowledge that is not employed weakens and fades from memory.
Example: Make learners write spelling terms three times and then apply them in a sentence
5. Counter conditioning
Training to replace a negative reaction (such as fear) to a stimulus (such as giving a public speech).
6.habituation
Tell the leraners to repeat the alphabetical letters every morning several times.
7. Guess and prompts
Play a game of guessing with the learners to improve their cognitive ability
8.shaping and fading
If a child receives good marks, reinforcement is usually in the form of lots of praise and attention from their parents or teachers.
9.premack principle
According to the Premack Principle, more likely behaviors reinforce less likely ones. Behavior can reinforce itself, and the existence of a high-probability behavior can increase the likelihood of a low-probability behavior. Teach learners that if they want to pass an exam, they must study it several times.
10.behavioural contraction
A contraction is a word created by combining two words and shortening them. Contraction words include can't (can + not), don't (do + not). e.g., Do not cheat.
11. Response cost
Losing marks for cheating in exam or innapropriate behavior.
12. Time out
A behavior modification method that teaches a youngster to make good decisions is time-out. It is not a form of punishment and should not be used for that purpose. Allow them to sit for a few minutes in a specific location.
13.combining extinction and reinforcement
Putting an undesirable habit on the verge of extinction while concurrently reinforcing a desirable one.
