They considered pulling their hair back, but they didn't want to be mistaken for girls. Because the savages were unaware of this social norm, they knotted their hair behind. He throws a rock at Samneric at first, but it misses. After that, he tosses pebbles at Piggy and Ralph. He puts the boulder in such a way that it falls and kills Piggy, and he throws a spear at Ralph at the end of the chapter.
