Briefly discuss the following areas of child development and provide practical examples of how you would apply the play technique to develop your learners:
1. Physically: The advancement and perfection of motor skills, or, in other words, children's capacity to use or operate and control their bodies, is referred to as physical development. It has to do with the muscles, the brain, and senses, which relate to their skill development and growth.
Physical activity such as jogging, jumping, and cycling aids in the development of physical fitness, stamina, balance, agility, and coordination in youngsters.
2. Emotionally: When children begin to understand who they are, what they are feeling, and what to expect when dealing with others, this is referred to as emotional development. It is the process of learning how to: Create and maintain positive relationships.
Sand play, dress-ups, music, painting, reading, and outdoor play are all good ways to help children develop their emotions.
3. Socially: Children's ability to engage with others and control their own actions is a part of their social development.
Combine the children to play with classmates, adults, people of different races and grades etc. Children's social development is aided by play and play-based learning. Children who play have stronger self-control, are more cooperative, courteous, and sociable, and have greater social competency. They also have high social skills, are adaptive, and are more willing to socialize with their classmates.
4.mentally:The increase of a child's capacity to reason and think is referred to as mental or cognitive growth. It has to do with how they arrange their minds, ideas, and thoughts in order to make sense of the world.
Play simple board games like 'hide and seek' or simple card games like 'Go Fish' or 'Snap' with the child. Children benefit from play in terms of their intellectual, physical, social, and emotional well-being. Children learn about the world and themselves via play. They also gain qualities such as confidence that they will need for school, work, and relationships.
