4. How does Race, Ethnicity and Justice relate to procedural justice? Why is this a issue in today's society?
Procedural justice covers respectful treatment, neutral decision-
making, and explaining decisions when asked to do so.race as a factor does not conform to procedural justice as it denies people equal chances to obtain justice for example in the USA “Minority residents of
the city receive a lower quality of service from the NYPD than do whites”). We avoid such items
because the relevant sentiments are baked into notions of over-policing and under-policing of minority
communities, at least under the current specification. Ethnicity on the other hand also discriminates on one ethnic community while favouring another one leaving the discriminated community to face a lot of injustice and unequal distribution of resources.
