Report on Covid-19 Awareness in Ghana's Three Southern Provinces

We recently held a week-long event to raise public awareness about the impacts of Covid-19 on the population and why individuals should remain veiled and follow the ministry of Health's Covid-19 standards.

Audience

During the seven days of intensive campaigning, we reached out to over 4 million people. We used to go on market days and have a crusade where people could listen and take notes with us. We noted that many people were concerned about the consequences, as it had resulted in the deaths of many people.

Essential Organizational Metrics

The campaign was a social event that successfully rescued people from ignorance of the impacts and how to protect themselves. The Ministry of Health results on Covid-19 control in the areas based on the number of infected people per day were used as a media monitoring tool. It's worth mentioning that the daily number of afflicted people has dropped dramatically.

Sanctions

a) The government should launch as many initiatives as possible to reach out to as many people as possible, as many people still believe Covid-19 is a joke.

b) Instead of one-on-one efforts, we can use social media platforms to reach out to a wider audience.
