A firm's social obligation comprises the community’s fiscal, legal, scientific, and aesthetic requirements on businesses at any particular time. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) refers to how businesses conduct their operations in order to have a beneficial influence on the community as a whole.
In view of defining each kind of obligation, it might be said that culture expects fiscal accountability from businesses; society also expects legal responsibility from businesses; society expects moral culpability from businesses, and culture expects philanthropic responsibility from businesses.
