An example of unethical practices that have been reported in Namibia is corruption. There has been various cases of corruption in the country, some involving government officers, state agencies and large corporations e.g. the recent fishrot bribery scandal, corruption in the country's procurement sector, tax crimes, money laundering etc. Corruption negatively impacts Namibia and society as a whole. It has led to: resources that could have benefitted the country being misused, inefficient and bloated state bureaucracy, citizens' trust in their institutions being eroded, politically motivated appointments, cases of injustice and ultimately an inefficient public sector.
